It helps officers make difficult decisions by promoting the right actions for the right reasons, often emphasizing principles like courage, honesty, respect, and public service to maintain trust and accountability within their communities and with their colleagues. Setting Standards: Establishes expected standards of behavior and professional conduct for everyone in policing. Public Trust: Fosters public trust and confidence by outlining what the public can expect from the police. ( I don't trust any police that didn't prove there innocence like I had to do in November 2019 in state of California and Washington dc supreme Court and mevcs overseas).Accountability: Holds officers accountable for their actions and encourages them to take ownership, learn from mistakes, and be transparent about their rationale. Integrity: Being honest and fair in all dealings. Courage: Demonstrating integrity and transparency, and having the bravery to do the right thing even when difficult.
